Parrot Biscornu

This parrot comes in lovely sweet colors proving once again that Cheryl, Tiny Modernist's designer is a wonderful colorist. She carefully picks her embroidery threads, selecting the exact right contrast, sharp enough for the shiny tropical leaves, and softly blending for the blue feathers of the parrots.

As in any biscornu, the pattern is repeated in each angle, and a complementary pattern stitched on the back appears on the side of the cushion. The shape emphasizes the curves, with the motif wrapping all around. The effect is that of a dense jungle, filled with birds, flowers, and tropical trees. A discreet button is used in the center of the biscornu, so not as to overwhelm the pattern. 

This cross stitch pattern is an easy stitch, mostly solid cross stitch, with a touch of backstitch for the parrot feet.
