Mother's Day cards

Pretty and simple, and quick to stitch, here are two Mother's Day motifs.

One features a bunch of flowers, with the text: "Filled with love". The other design is a heart, depicted patchwork style with a little label for "Mum". Both motifs are easy to stitch, even for a beginner. 

The stitched pieces can be mounted on paper cards. You will find special cards available in the crafts section with a square or round aperture. Some come three-fold so you can hide the back of the stitching.

Another cute finishing idea would be to use these motifs on a fridge magnet. You can stitch it on needlework frabric and back and with needlework finisher or alternatively stitch them on plastic canvas. Using the outer borders of the chart as a guide, add a row of cross stitch all around to frame the motif (see last image). Trim and stick a magnet at the back.
