CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Tempting Tangles
Scarlet Letters is part of the color series designed by Deborah A. Dick of Tempting Tangles. Others in this series are Verdant Variations, Ebony & Ivory, Broderie Bleue, Little Brown Jug, Purple-licious.
A play with words and color, it reads like an alphabetical order poem listing all the subtle variations of red hues, with evocative names ranging from Lobster to Raspberry, Dahlia to Hellebore, Van Dyke Red to Titian and Alizarin to Zinfandel.
"We suggest that this design be worked over 2 threads of fabric.
The pattern contains black work and Algerian Eyes - There are just the right amount of each to make this design a lot of fun to stitch."
Creative Poppy suggestion:
Stitch with your very own range of red overdyed floss using left over red threads and make your piece truly unique. Part of the fun will be deciding which color floss you will stitch for each word.
The chart comes with both a color overview chart, and a detailed black and white chart.
