The cross stitch pattern for July features two small bunches of lavender, tied with a decorative ribbon and delicately enhanced with pearls.
The Anthea collection, designed by Faby Reilly, is a collection of twelve flowers, one for each month. Display them in your home and rotate each piece every month with a new seasonal embroidery.
The cross stitch chart also includes an alphabet and a blank chart if you want to personalize your work with the text of your choice. You could thus stitch the word "Welcome" in between the two motifs or a plaque indicating a special room in your house. The lavender pattern is very decorative and is particularly suited for home decor.
The lavender bouquets are worked on a cross stitch base, and dotted with French knots or Colonial knots (whichever work best for you), with a very realistic effect, both in terms of the stitches and the choice of colors. Other decorative embroidery stitches are used as ornementation, for the frame in particular. A tutorial is included with the chart for all specialty stitches as well as for framing the stitched piece.
