Barbara Ana's new Dreaming girl is a pensive little brunette, eyes closed, with a mane of hair blowing in the wind and morphing into a seascape.

We love the way the cross stitch pattern is divided in two parts:  the left side, evocative of safety with a life buoy, a tranquil village and a solid lighthouse, while the shaded part of the portrait, features a more chaotic world with tiny sailboats and fish tossed about by large curly waves.

The design, in a dominant mix of blue, brick and ivory, is stitched on 32 ct Murano evenweave in color terracotta, a fabulous choice that works perfectly with the colors used for the cross stitch pattern.
