In the designer's own words:
Another version of my ‘reverse-confetti’ sampler designs, with lots of little motifs sprinkled around, to leave the heart shape in plain fabric.
Here I have used lots of stylised poppy flowers, leaves and seed heads to stitch into a warm summer garden, where little birds can hide.
Most of the motifs are repeating, so it is not as complicated to stitch as it might look and using only five colours, plus black, it gives a strong and vibrant look to the finished embroidery.
