This cheerful design celebrates the joys of needlework, in particular knitting, needlepoint, cross-stitch and even French knitting (or spool knitting)!

Part of the joy is the pleasure of handling colorful yarns and threads -  and this cross stitch chart is full of them, bright, rich, deep colors.

Central in the pattern are four doll-shaped spools, also known as French knitting dolls or knitting Nancy. We love the dolls' folkloric motifs, so pretty who could resist them?

In a nod to Needlepoint (or tapestry) are some favorite motifs such as the baby deer or the pair of little puppies. Cross stitch meanwhile is figured by two stitchers working on a fine floral pattern, needle and hoop in hand.

Knitting is not left out. A knitter is in the process of finishing an extra-long scarf, with coloful and varied motifs. The rabbit and the teddy bear have been dressed dressed in multicolored jumpsuits and a series of sweaters are displayed on the right.

This Cross-stitch pattern is particularly decorative. It can embellish the lid of a needlework box. Alternatively display on the wall of your needlwork area in your home.
