Here's My first Ski Holiday, Perrette Samouiloff's charming cross stitch pattern that is designed to create a memento of a child's first time on skis or first snow holiday.

Ideas for customization include stitching the name of child/children, date and location (as pictured), or their first trophy. You could also design a piece for a family holiday or the name of a chalet... 

The pattern comprises all the elements for easily creating your very own layout, simply by cutting out the elements of your choice, and pasting them so you're ready to stitch. Included with the chart are:

- the background, devoid of text

- an alphabet, numbers

- 3 additional skier motifs should you be stitching for a boy/girl only, and depending on your preferred choice of skiers.

All elements are the exact same scale, so they are easy to combine and assemble.

The pattern is derived from another pattern, Up and down the slope (the skiers), which you might prefer to stitch if you do not want to personalize your piece with text.
