Daisy Heart (With Love / Happy Mother's Day)

This vintage-style postcard-size pattern features a lovely daisy heart, as if the flowers had been freshly picked in the grass and interwoven into a heart shape.

There are two text options, "With Love" or "Happy Mother's Day". You can therefore adapt the card to virtually all occasions, Valentine, Birthdays, Gifts and of course Mother's Day. The cross stitch chart is part of an attractive collection of antique-looking cross stitch postcards, all designed by Monique Bonnin.

The greenery surrounding the daisies is partially stitched in half stitch, in a single strand, bringing the daisies to the foreground. The heart shape outline is embellished with seedbeads, creating extra volume. Four tiny hearts, also worked in beads, grace the corners of the frame. 

Notice at the base of the design the antique stamp and the postmark with the date of dispatch. These details are actually part of the stitching. The "stamp" can even be personalized with the date of your choice, for example a birthday date (an additional chart is provided with months and numbers). 

The text is stitched in pink metallic for an extra touch of old-style glamour. If you are hesitant to work with metallic thread, we recommend using Kreinik metallic thread (Very Fine Braid #4) which is worked in one strand and is very easy to use.
