How about a change of style and some sophisticated cross stitching?

Designed by Maria Diaz, here is a cross stitch chart pack-full of oriental inspired flowers and designs, some large, some small, in isolated or repetitive borders. They can be stitched either on a black or dark fabric, or on a light fabric, as long as there is enough contrast with the white and beige parts. 

 

The chart includes a splendid lotus flower, along with more abstract arabesques and designs, as well as flowers, plumeria buds - sometimes referred to a temple flowers -, a magnolia flower, a yellow camelia, chrysanthemums.. all of which are often encountered in both temples motifs and their surrounding gardens. 

 

Depending on your project, you can combine various motifs and extend or repeat elements so as to create band shaped designs. This chart is ideal for making pouches, small bags, table linen (table mats, napkin rings, napkins)  as well as many small objects sur as phone cases, keyrings, glasses cases, bookmarks and so on.
