Super cute and extra handy, these woodland animal mini motifs, set in a snowy landscape background, can be used for virtually all Christmas cross stitch projects: ornaments, gifts tags, small greeting cards and more. The designs will be 2 x 2 inch stitched on 14ct Aida.

The full background of these patterns is cross stitched. There is some backstitch detail and a couple of French knots used for the red holly berries - which you could substitute with red seed beads.

If making ornaments, you can mount the stitched squares onto a felt background, inserting a tiny bit of stuffing for extra volume. Or you could frame the pieces with red rick-rack or pretty Christmas trimmings.
