Wintry Blooms, designed by Faby Reilly, is an exquisite arrangement of white winter flowers, arum and lily mainly, worked in cross stitch, embellished with a multitude of specialty stitches that add a dimensional effect to the stitched piece. Metallic threads, beads and sequins add extra glitter to the soft white tones.
The piece can be mounted as a biscornu which is perfectly appropriate for emphasizing the dimensional effects of the stitching. You can however also finish your work as a cushion cover central piece or simply frame it.
The chart includes some additional close-ups to make it extra-clear to read. All specialty stitches are thoroughly explained with photos. They include round Eyelet stitches combined with sequins and two kinds of Spider Web stitches. A biscornu tutorial is also included with the chart
