You can stitch designs individually, either of ready to stitch items, or using waste canvas or soluble canvas for stitch on regular fabric. So you could stitch on a white child's T-Shirt for instance.

 

The chart includes plenty of letters sizes for customization. You can also add small initials into the motifs. Spot the letter "B" shown in the teddy and umbrella motif, or hidden in the yacht's sails.

 

You can also cross stitch the piece as a whole. Maybe to celebrate a child's third or fourth birthday. It will be very decorative in the children's bedroom.
