Floral hearts ABC

When stitched as a whole alphabet, this cross stitch pattern has a very decorative antique feel. It can however also be used to stitch initials or to compose a word of your choice as the word LOVE for instance (last image).

Each letter is embellished with a heart and a flower, which vary from letter to letter. 

The size of the largest letter, the W, is 27 stitches wide by 26 stitches high, i.e. approximately 2 inch x 2 inch (5cm x 5cm) worked on 14 ct Aida or 28ct linen stitches over two.

The color of the letters is a lovely faded blue tone, which gives the stitched piece a somewhat quaint and romantic feel.

Hold on to this chart once your project is completed. It can be reused for many occasions, a wedding, Valentine's cards, or to create sets of terry towels customized with the initials of each user (a nice gift idea for a couple).
