Alphabet Scroll
CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Lesley Teare Designs
This beautiful chart features an alphabet of classic monograms, as well as a set of numbers. It is entirely stitched in red, using full cross stitches, as well as backstitch and French knot for detail. We suggest using your own favorite red embroidery floss, possibly a hand-dyed or variegated thread.
The design can be stitched in two ways. On itself, the chart as a whole is a very decorative and elegant piece that will look gorgeous in your home, once displayed in a frame with an antique feel. It will look great on a white linen fabric if stitching on red. Depending on the room's surroundings, if you are looking for softer effect, you can stitch it in white on a raw linen background (see last image).
Alternatively you can use the chart for customizing cross stitch projects with initials and dates. This alphabet will work great for weddings, anniversaries, or house warming projects. Make sure you keep this chart in your design library, it will come handy again and again.
Each letter measures 24 stitches high and up to 36 stitches wide. On 14ct Aida or 28 ct linen, this is about 1 3/4 inch high and up to 2 1/2 wide.
The chart is worked in full cross stitches and comes with an extensive Cross stitch Guide.
