Blackwork with Summer Flowers

Here are four easy Blackwork and cross stitch patterns featuring summer flowers such as garden roses, wild roses and sunflowers.If you haven't tried blackwork before, this would be a good opportunity to give it a try.

The Blackwork motif is circular and frames each flower. The flowers are worked in full cross stitches with some backstitch, longstitch and French knot detail. A couple of fractional stitches are used for the tiny flowers in the corners.

Each square pattern measures about 4 1/4 inch (11 x 11 cm) stitched on 14 ct or 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 inch 9,5 x 9,5 cm on 32ct, perfect for a greeting card.
