In celebration of Easter, all these rabbits are dressed in a yellow scarf, a touch of gold against their hazel coat.
The elder rabbits roam the grounds, searching for Easter eggs among oak acorns, pine cones and spring daisies. Mother rabbit has already gathered hers in a wicker basket. She seems to be explaining to the tiny baby rabbit what this is all about.
Working with a limited palette of color, this cross stitch design is full of elegance and poise. Letters of the alphabet are haphazardly scattered about in the background, as if they were grass, and the pattern is framed with a delicate zig-zag frame. The alphabet and frame are reminiscent of another lovely sampler by the designer, the Night Alphabet sampler.
