This GERA! cross stitch pattern was inspired by the book Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery, Anne, the central character, lives in the Green Gables Farm. The farmhouse and its surroundings actually exist on Prince Edward Island and are one of Canada's literary landmarks and a national heritage sites.
The design depicts Green Gables' main house (top left) and barn. Further to the right are the church, her friend Diana's house, the school house and surrounding buildings. There is an additional chart with a portrait of Anne.
The cross stitch piece can be finished into a bookcover and matching bookmark. Use a piece of matching fabric and trimming to adjust the bookcover to the size of your book. Note: instructions for the bookcover are not included with the chart.
