A wonderful nativity scene to cross stitch, in Faby Reilly's delicate style.
The soil is rocky and the grass dry and sparse. A humble sheperd makes his way on a winding path leading us visually to the central scene. There new-born Jesus, Mary and Joseph are huddled together, donkey and ox by their side. The designer has omitted any superfluous detail to focus on the essential. The manger itself is streamlined, its lines all converging towards the star of Bethlehem.
The star itself is worked in golden thread, using a specific stitch, the triple cross stitch, depicted in the tutorial that comes with the chart.
