Daffodils & Bees
NEEDLEWORKPATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Faby Reilly Designs
This cute cross stitch design is perfect for welcoming Spring into your home. Yellow daffodils and a white narcissus combine into a delicate heart motif. Bees are buzzing from one flower to the next.
If you have never tried stitching fractionals, this small cross stitch design is also a perfect opportunity to start practicing, guided by Faby Reilly's excellent tutorial. Fractional stitches (quarter and 3/4 cross stitch) are used for depicting the three bees, which would be too tiny to stitch in full cross stitches.
The pattern also includes French knots, for the stamina of the flowers. They could be subsituted with seedbeeds if you prefer.
A tutorial is included with the chart for all specialty stitches.
