My Little Black Dress
CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Chouett'alors
Here is a little gem of a pattern by Chouett'alors. The cross stitch chart has been adapted into English, so you can either stitch the French text "Ma petite robe noire" or the English version. Catherine Deyts, Chouett'alors' designer, features Lady Frog, one of her favorite characters, all dressed up in her little black dress. She's wearing a pearl necklace, has put on a touch of nail polish, some mascara and lipstick. Clasping her handbag under her arm, here she is, ready to go out!
Two extra cross stitch charts are included with the design, one with the detail of the black dress, the other with the Eiffel Tower, evocative of Paris fashion. They can be stitched and finished as mini heart-shaped ornaments, which can also be used for bag charms or key rings.
Creative Poppy's tips: How about adding a personal touch?
Use a small black satin or grosgrain ribbon to create a bow in place of the cross stitch ribbon (photo) and use mother of pearl seed beads for the necklace and the clasp of the handbag.
