A mare happily grazes the grass at the foot of a tree, protected by its gentle shade. The foal keeps close to its mother, eyes wide open checking the surroundings. Has he seen us? Maybe. In the distance, the few clouds in the blue sky add extra dimension to the scene.

Designer Monique Bonnin, cleverly combines cross stitch and half stitch to create a sense of depth. The pattern can be stitched on light blue Aida or linen fabric; you can use a canvas of the color of your choice: the last photo shows a rendering on a white canvas.
