Chalkboard ABC
COUNTED CROSS STITCH CHART BY MARIA DIAZ
The kids are back to school! It's time to have a little fun with this "chalkboard alphabet". You can stitch it "as is" or create your own text such as "Back to school" (see opposite). Note some of the quirky letters (especially C and S)!
For best results, stitch it on black Aida and use a black background when mounting so that the white holes don't show behind. Depending on your fabric, you might want to use three strands of floss to obtain better coverage. Test first on a small piece of fabric.
To combine these letters to form names or words, we suggest printing out an extra copy of the chart pages so you can cut up and combine letters.
