Stained Glass Christmas Cards
CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Lesley Teare Designs
In the manner of stained glass church windows, here are 6 motifs designed for home-made hand-stitched Christmas greeting cards.
Motifs include a Christmas Tree, a lit candle, a red robin and holly, Christmas bells, a bauble ornament and an abstract window design. The cross stitch charts come in bright colors and the background is filled completely with solid colors, separated with black backstitch lines, as well as some Gold metallic highlights adding a festive touch.
You can use standard blank aperture cards for mounting the stitched piece onto a greeting card. These come as double fold (3 panels with 2 fold lines) with matching enveloppe. The perfect size would be C6/A6 cards with an 72mm x 115 mm aperture if stitching on 14ct/28ct.
Select colors that match a color of your stitching or a neutral natural color. If you can't find the perfect colors, you can make your own.
The chart includes a single fractional stitch for detail of the bird's beak. A tutorial is included with the chart for all stitches.
