Simple Country sampler

Brought to you by Lesley Teare, this cute little cross stitch sampler is easy and relaxing to stitch, each motif being placed in a box. It a perfect project if you are being interrupted, or have little time to stitch in between other tasks, because you can complete one motif at a time. 

The design can be stitched either on a black or white background fabric, resulting in a very different atmosphere. It can be stitched on its own, however it is also part of a pair and can be matched with the Simple Garden sampler, in a mirror effect. 

The Simple Country sampler features a landscape with a house in the sunlight, with beside an apple tree heavy with fruit. Bees buzz around the beehive, surrounded with summer flowers. A squirrel gathers hazelnuts, dragonflies and butterflies criss cross in every direction. 

The pattern features full cross stitches only, with just a few details in backstitch for the bee antennas.

A tutorial is included with the chart for all stitches.
