She's late and hurrying, walking in long strides, a red furoshiki* in her hand (* a furoshiki is a small scarf used in Japan for carrying things).

She's reading in the park, surrounded by flowers, and oblivious to her environment.

She's riding her heavy bicycle.

She's lost in her thoughts, prey to endless reveries.

The design is inspired by a scene in the novel by Osamu Dazai, The Schoolgirl.  The novel deals with adolescence and all the thoughts playing havoc in a young girl's mind. It itakes place in pre-war Japan but it is a timeless novel that retains all its relevance today.
