It features the heroine at her window, pensive, waiting longingly for her lover and reflecting on her life. She's featured surrounded by the walls of her house, as if it were a castle, shutting her away from the real world.
The piece is cross stitched in vivid colors, on a background of blue fabric linen. It's very colorful and evocative of Russian architecture, with the central arch acting as a frame.
