COUNTED CROSS STITCH CHART

 

 

 

A sweet design with tender colors, entirely stitched in a mix of pink and blue Variations threads. Note how expertly the designer has used the effects of the threads she selected:

- the background of the dress and dungarees are stitched the classic way, in rows of / / / then back X X X. This provides a soft blended effect.

- all other items (flowers, heart shapes) are stitched one complete cross stitch at a time. This emphasizes the color effect of the thread, providing maximum contrast between stitches worked with the same thread.

This pattern would look very nice on a small cushion or scrapbook cover and make a perfect wedding gift (just add the names or initials of bride and groom!).
