Modern Dollhouse
CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Tiny Modernist
Its architecture? Its design? Indisputably Modernist ...
This cross stitch dollhouse is unlike any other. Entirely designed and furnished in the post-war modernist style, with a flat roof, large open spaces, a staircase carved into the wall and dispensing with a railing, a large terrace planted with cactus with its oversize sunshade. It could be in Miami or the Riviera
The furniture is also emblematic of the sixties. The first integrated kitchens and bathrooms, large lamps shaped like colored glass balls, architect-designed armchairs, star-shaped mirror, abstract decoration panels on the wall. Even the colors are characteristic of the time: turquoise, ocher yellow and brown, enhanced with a touch of raspberry pink.
It is a real pleasure to cross stitch all these details. For once we grown ups can have fun playing with a dollshouse.
