1. The lunch bag (photo)

The cross stitch chart also includes detailed instructions for making this bag, that is fully lined inside with oil cloth, so you can to slip sandwiches or small containers inside without risk. The top rolls to close.

The chart is repeated vertically on each side of the bag.

The bag measures  6 3/4 wide x 12 inch high (17 cm wide by 30 cm high) unfolded, or about 8 inch high (20cm) closed.

2. Using motifs fabric-like:

Use a portion of the pattern, placed fabric-like (don't worry about cutting off motifs on the sides), to cross stitch an apron pocket, pot holders, or a border on a tea towel. These will all make cool ideas for hand-made gifts with a cool summer touch.
