Bright Baubles Retro Ornaments

They are so pretty, these Christmas baubles depicted in cross stitch in the manner of vintage blown glass ornaments. Their shapes are beautifully varied, as well as their colors.

The designer has gathered all the decorations on a single chart, but you can also stitch them individually and either frame them in a mini hoop, or turn them into "real" ornaments (stick a piece of felt on the back of the stitched piece and insert a looped ribbon to hang the decoration on the Christmas tree.

Top tip: 2 colors of embroidery floss can be substituted with gold and silver metallic, if you want to give more glimmer to the stitched piece.

The cross stitch chart is designed to be stitched on a black needlework fabric. It would also look good on alternative background colors such as a dark green.
