Little Blackwork Pouch bag
BLACKWORK CHART BY TAM'S CREATIONS
If you're looking for a cute design for your first blackwork project, here's a really nice one. It's not too large so you will be able to finish rapidly and mount it as a little pouch bag.
Don't forget blackwork does not have to be .... black. You can use virtually any combination of threads, including variegated and overdyed floss. You can also use a color background fabric. Tam used a hand-dyed "mint" colored Aida. Another cute choice would be congress cloth which would add just a little stiffness to the bag. Congress cloth/canvas is now available in a cute range of hand-dyed colors too. Have fun!
Project includes both the cross stitch chart and mounting instructions.
