In the designer's own words:

“Another sampler I designed in a more geometric style, where I have placed the individual motifs to give the effect of a larger, bigger picture. 

The coral pinks, with soft purple and grey, against an old gold and the white straw are simple, but add to the rustic appeal of the overall folk style I find so interesting to achieve. 

The border follows the same theme - a strong, geometric frame of repeating boxes and here I put the alphabet and numerals, in mixed lettering, to complete the traditional sampler content in a more interesting way.”
