In the designer's own words:

“After the snow, my Folkies lady is dressed up warmly to go outside and feed the tame garden birds. The children have been out building snowmen - I love to leave the white fabric unstitched to give the effect of snow, the motifs are spaced very slightly wider apart than usual - again, this gives more of an impression of a snowy landscape.

We love the colors of this sampler, the contrast between the cold blues and grey evocative of the freezing temperatures, and the red cheeks and heart expressing the warmth felt inside.
