Lavender House Sampler
CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY RIVERDRIFT HOUSE
In the designer's own words:
I designed this small sampler in the pastoral style of classic early 19th century English needlework, featuring several of the popular motifs of the time - a shepherdess and sheep a particular favourite. The floral trailing border is separated from the central pictorial section by an inner lace-effect border that adds to the feel of a decorative textile.
Creative Poppy says:
Pretty colors, a cute countryside scene and lots of enjoyable detail, this sampler will make for hours of gratifying stitching.
The square format is quite versatile, perfect for either framing or turning into a cushion cover.
