Dutch Folkies
CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY RIVERDRIFT HOUSE
In the designer's own words:
“Here are my Dutch Folkies dressed in their traditional Volendam costumes with wooden clogs, famous around the world. I have included some typical canal-side houses, tulips and other flowers, storks, Delft pottery, some Gouda cheese, a royal crown with a border of ecru lace. Windmills and a sailing barge, with leeboard lowered, and an anchor feature prominently, too, to represent the ancient and proud maritime traditions of The Netherlands. ”
Creative Poppy says:
Riverdrift House's Folkies, are cross stitch patterns featuring couples wearing traditional folk costumes of different regions. There is plenty of fun detail in the Dutch Folkies, in particular the beautifully depicted sailing barge with traditional red sails.
