A red poppy
EMBROIDERY PATTERN
This embroidery pattern is a remarquable design, essentially based on Short & long stitch as well as Satin stitch.
Designer Agnès Calvet-Delage, is an expert in needlework, particularly embroidery. Here she skillfully combines 3 different stitches and 4 different tones of red to form the fragile petals of a poppy. The heart of the flower is also beautifully rendered in a combination of long stitch, satin stitch and french knots.
The design includes detailed explanations and close-up photos of the embroidery showing the various stitches. The motif itself comes on a letter size page. You will need to transfer the design onto the fabric of your choice using either carbon transfer paper, a transfer paper or tracing paper.
This pattern is only for the expert stitcher. The stitched effect is stunning, well worth the effort.
A design by Agnès Delage-Calvet.
