Walk in the park - 1900s Fashion
CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Perrette Samouiloff
Chic 1900's characters take a stroll in the park, a lively scene full of charm, with designer Perrette Samouiloff playfully depicting each of their silhouettes.
Take the young lady seen in profile, playing with a diabolo - a popular game at the time. Her hair is tied up, her outfit is tight at the waist, with a high neckline, long fluted skirt and black boots. In spite of the constraining clothes - most certainly wearing a corset - she retains a light and playful air. By contrast, couple at the back, are more formally dressed: the gentleman in top hat carries a cane, the lady is wearing a hat cocked on the side and carries a parasol.
There is a gentleman, holding a newspaper in one hand and his glasses in another, looking a bit startled, maybe disturbed by the diabolo's unexpected move.
A musician is playing the violin. He's more casually dressed in a straw hat. His companion, is singing, music scores in hand.
