This vintage-style postcard-size pattern is part of an attractive collection of cross stitch postcards, all designed by Monique Bonnin.

Notice in the left corner the antique stamp and the postmark with the date of dispatch. These details are actually part of the stitching. The "stamp" can even be personalized with the date of your choice, for example a birthday date (an additional chart is provided with months and numbers).

The roses design also comes as a separate chart if you want to omit the stamp and postmark or if you want to stitch a matching gift tag.

With its "Best wishes" message, the project is perfect for birthday wishes or a Mother's day card. The piece was originally designed in French with the text "Bonne Fête". If you would rather stitch the French version, just make a request through our contact form after placing your order.

To add a bit of old-style glamour, the text is stitched in heavy cursive handwritting, embellished with white seed beads, and the frame is stitched in pink metallic thread. If you are hesitant to work with metallic thread, we recommend using Kreinik metallic thread (Very Fine Braid #4) which is worked in one strand and is very easy to use.

The card can be stitched on either Aida or evenweave, in white, ecru or natural colors.
