COUNTED CROSS STITCH CHART BY  MARIE-ANNE RETHORET-MELIN

 

This is a cute little project full of happy feelings for greeting Spring. There is one for every season (see Winter version lower page). This chart includes several wishes: FRIENDS, PLEASURE, BLISS, JOY and the top alphabet can be replaced with a customized message if you wish. 

There is some interesting detail in the stitching, especilly the way the man's trousers are worked in three-quarter stitches in alternate direction creating a herringbone texture.

This piece featured here (see photo) is finished as a pinkeep, which makes it an ideal gift for a friend who stitches or sews. The pattern comes with a tutorial showing 4 options for mounting your stitched piece (padded square, mini-cushion, pinkeep and frame) and instructions for each.
