Wishes for every season: Autumn
COUNTED CROSS STITCH CHART BY  MARIE-ANNE RETHORET-MELIN

 

This is a cute little cross stitch project full of happy feelings for greeting Autumn. There is one pattern for every season (see Winter version lower page). This chart includes several wishes: CARING, NATURE, HARMONY, WISDOM and the top alphabet can be substituted with a customized message. 

There is some interesting detail in the stitching, especially the way the man's trousers are worked in three-quarter stitches in alternate direction creating a herringbone texture.

This piece featured here (see photo) is finished as a little padded square frame which makes it an ideal gift. The pattern comes with a tutorial showing 4 options for mounting your stitched piece (padded square, mini-cushion, pinkeep and frame) and instructions for each.
