Fun penguins
COUNTED CROSS STITCH CHART BY MARIA DIAZ
Aren't they busy these little penguins? One's fishing in a hole in the ice, his friend has already caught a fish and yet another one is frying a fish in a pan.
A quiet penguin is reading a book. But where's the baby? He's fallen asleep on the ice, holding tight onto his blanket.
To render the snow, Maria Diaz, the designer, suggests stitching the patterns on Aida interwoven with silver or iridescent filaments.
These 10 penguin motifs are really a lot of fun to stitch and the children will love them. You can also stitch them directly on clothes, using waste canvas, on fleece for instance. They will make great birthday cards too for the little ones.
