William Morris style cards
CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Lesley Teare Designs
Brought to you by Lesley Teare, this pretty cross stitch motif is loosely inspired by printed textile patterns by William Morris. It features ornamental birds and flowers, popular themes of the Arts and Crafts movement.
Seamingly simple, these designs are quite an achievement only an expert designer such as Lesley Teare could fit so much into a tiny square fewer that 35 x 35 stitches wide. In addition, the charts only involve full cross stitches, making it appealing for a beginner, or an experienced cross stitcher wanting some quick fun between larger needlework projects.
The pattern can be stitched as a whole, or in single motifs (or both). If you stitch designs individually, they will measure just over 2 x 2 inch, making them idea for greeting cards, gift tags, fridge magnets and whatever project that involves tiny motifs.
The pattern features full cross stitches only. A tutorial is included with the chart.
