CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Lesley Teare Designs
There is such elegance and grace in this cross-stitched piece especially designed for a wedding. The gentle face of the angel, the delicate colors, the light movement in the dress and garlands, everything conveys a sense of loving tenderness.
This is truly and exceptional piece. On the day of the wedding, we suggest displaying the embroidery, in a prominent place on an easel, maybe at the entrance of the reception room? After the ceremony, no doubt the piece will be treasured by the bride and groom.
The cross stitch pattern includes an alphabet so you can stitch the bride and groom's names, on the large central ribbon. The date of the wedding will be stitched in the little hanging heart.
The embroidery is very rich in detail, with beautiful shades of color in the dress and floating petticoat of the angel, evocative of the wedding dress. The angel holds garlands of roses and flowers that form arabesques around the painting. The flowers are highlighted with knots - you could replace them with seed beads if preferred.
Three metallic threads add a touch of luxury, in contrasting shades of sparkling gold, matte antique gold and steel grey.
The chart comes with an extensive Cross stitch Guide detailing all stitches including fractional stitches which are used for the detail of the angel's face in particular.
