The much beloved countdown to Christmas will keep you humming as you cross stitch. Each day is beautifully illustrated by Lesley Teare in cheerful color stitches. 

You can complete the piece as a whole, or stitch each piece separately so that you can mount them like ornaments and either hang them or peg them on a garland ribbon, as each days brings you closer to Christmas.

Our favourite motifs include all the birds (partridge, dove, hen, geese, calling birds, swan) and the pipes and drumm.
 

The pattern includes some gold mettallic highlights for a festive touch, as well as a couple of fractional stitches for extra detail. A tutorial is included with the chart for fractional stitches.
