Proud Peacocks
CROSS STITCH PATTERN READY TO DOWNLOAD, DESIGNED BY Lesley Teare Designs

This pretty decorative cross stitch design features a pair of peacocks and interwoven ornamental motifs. Backstitch is used to outline the cross stitch background. Fractional stitches are used exclusively for the detail of the pointed birds' beaks.

The chart, predominantly in blue and deep green tone, can be stitched either on a white background, for more contrast, or a natural background such as raw linen, for more softness. Other fabric colors, for example golden brown, turquoise or sea green, will also form a nice contrast of colors.

Given its horizontal format, the pattern is suitable for framing of for making into a cushion.
