On the First day of Christmas my true love sent to me
a Partridge in a Pear Tree.

 

Designer Lesley Teare does a superb job of illustrating the verse in stitches, with a bright and colorful design of the partridge and pear tree surrounded by a contrasting red frame. 

 

There are some metallic highlights that add extra fun to this luminous piece. A few fractional stitches are used to better define some parts such as the bird's beak.
