Here's a peaceful and tender nativity scene by Lesley Teare. The cross stitch pattern celebrates the Christian tradition of featuring the birth of Jesus in one's home every Christmas. The stitched piece can be displayed year after year and will become a treasured family keepsake.

The virgin Mary appears sideways, holding baby Jesus tenderly. She is draped in a long sleeved blue dress. Little lambs surround the pair while doves announce the good news "Peace on earth".

There are some 1/4 and 3/4 cross stitch details in some areas, as for Mary's face and hair.  Some seed beads as well as metallic thread highlights add extra detail and a precious feel  to the background.
