This Lesley Teare Art Deco cross stitch pattern features a pensive young lady holding a rose. She's wearing a superb long ochre dress exquisitely adorned with elaborate embroidery and her hair is beautifully styled.

 
The layout of the design reinforces the Art Deco feel. The young lady is seated as if in a circle, her long dress forming perfect folds below. The whole pattern is surrounded on 3 sides by a stained glass style rose border, contrasting with the blue background border at the base.

There are some 1/4 and 3/4 cross stitch details in some areas, as the lady's face or her hair. The young woman's expression is superbly rendered. Some seed beads add extra detail to embellished areas such as the dress and the lady's hairstyle.
