So cute! These tiny Christmas Stocking motifs are just perfect for hanging as ornaments on your tree. Brought to you by Lesley Teare, the cross stitch charts come with full instructions for mounting as little ornaments. All you will need is a piece of felt  for backing and a strap for hanging*.
* we reused elastic cord that came on a pack of baubles last Christmas. Just perfect for this project and better for the planet ;-)

If stitched on 14ct Aida or 28 count evenweave or linen, they will measure just over 2 x 3 inch. And if you want them smaller, just stitch on 18 count Aida or 32ct evenweave. 

Naturally the motifs also work perfectly for greeting cards, a delight and special treat for your loved ones.

There are 4 motifs, a snowman, Santa, a Christmas deer and a teddy bear. All stockings feature a red robin, and a little red heart on a green background where the"heel" fits.

The cross stitch pattern includes a couple of fractional stitches for detail. A tutorial is included with the chart for all stitches.
